ABOUT PARK & PHONE
The Park & Phone service is the UK deployment by Payment Innovations Ltd of a Scandianavian parking payment service that has enabled Users to pay for parking by phone since 2001. Now widely deployed across Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland the combined service processes in the region of 150 000 transactions per month.
Thousands of people have moved to using their mobile phones when parking in preference to using traditional pay & display.

Payment Innovations Ltd was established in 2004 (previously Paymint Ltd) to manage the implementation of this solution in the UK. Following a period of consultation with operators to ensure that the solution is correct for the UK market the Park & Phone solution first went live in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets in March '05.

This was the first full scale deployment of a cashless and ticketless parking payment solution in the UK and immediately made it possible for all drivers wishing to park in the Tower Hamlets to use Park & Phone to pay for their parking at the 8000+ pay & display bays across the Borough.

Payment Innovations are in advanced discussions with a number of both council and commercial operators and the service will be rolled out in partnership with these organisations during the year.
